About The Position
PVE, LLC is seeking a Structural Drafter to join our Pittsburgh, PA office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming engineering and architectural sketches into detailed working documents using computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. This role emphasizes the creation of structural drawings, layouts, details, and bills of materials, particularly focusing on structural systems. The Drafter will be tasked with producing shop drawings for cladding systems and installation drawings for temporary systems such as scaffolding, platforms, and containments. In this position, the Drafter must interpret existing structural and architectural drawings to aid in the creation of new structural drawings. The role requires collaboration with engineers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and specifications. Attention to detail is crucial, as the Drafter will review and interpret structural designs to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards. Additionally, the Drafter will create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design changes and revisions, and assist in the preparation of structural reports and presentations. Site visits will be necessary to gather data and ensure that drawings accurately reflect actual site conditions. The Drafter will also support project teams in troubleshooting design issues and finding creative solutions, while performing other duties as assigned. Adherence to all Structural Group Accountability guidelines is expected.
