About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Structural Designer 2. This role offers you the opportunity to work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams, developing structural physical layout drawings in a 3-D model. You will tackle challenging assignments, from designing structural supports and foundations to investigating and solving a variety of design issues. Your contributions will help ensure timely and complete design deliverables while mentoring less experienced team members.

Requirements

Foundation in a technical area including drafting or equivalent technical experience.
Ten (10) or more years of detailed design experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete.
Proficient with design software tools for executing 3D plant layout models.
Experience reviewing structural layout drawings involving steel frames, connections, and supports.
Ability to interface effectively with multi-disciplinary engineering and design teams.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering and design project teams to create structural layout drawings in 3-D model.
Design structural supports and foundations, addressing and troubleshooting various design issues.
Utilize 3D modeling software tools to generate structural design schematics.
Lead the structural design team in coordinating detailed design phases.
Provide guidance to other designers and project team members for timely design completion.
Plan and execute structural design deliverables independently and as part of a team.
Assist senior designers and engineers during field walkdowns and data gathering.
