About The Position
Ficcadenti Waggoner and Castle Structural Engineers (FWC) is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. Established in 1991, FWC has built a reputation for providing high-quality structural engineering services to a diverse clientele. With over 70 employees across four offices nationwide, we pride ourselves on our commitment to knowledge, experience, and education as the cornerstones of our success. Our projects range from parking structures and theme parks to multifamily residential buildings and commercial facilities, utilizing a variety of materials including concrete, steel, aluminum, and timber. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing significant structures and developing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and our internal teams to ensure that our designs meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The role requires a hands-on approach, with site inspections and contractor interactions being a key part of the job. We are looking for candidates with 5-10 years of experience who are self-motivated, team-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. At FWC, we utilize the latest analytical software and drafting technologies to support our design processes.
