About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Concrete Superintendent to oversee and manage our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of heavy civil construction experience required.
• 5+ years of construction management experience required.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract-specific plans and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
• Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Forecast the work schedule to identify possible issues and provide technical or scheduling recommendations to mitigate production issues.
• Provide technical input to identify and resolve project risks, including construction methods, work plan, material requirements, safety, and schedule activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, and project logs.
• Review and understand the project specifications to support job set up activities.
• Work with work crews, field engineers, and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on the job site.
• Support and promote strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment, worksite safety, and documentation requirements.
