About The Position

Are you an experienced structural engineer looking to bring bold ideas to life across a wide range of unique and challenging projects? As a Structural Engineer 1 , you’ll lead the design and execution of custom structures, including mezzanines, platforms, foundations, and more, from initial concept through installation. Working closely with a team of engineers and project managers, you’ll have the opportunity to supervise and collaborate while performing advanced design work in the office and supporting builds in the shop and out in the field. This role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of structural design principles and standards who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Requirements

6 months’ - 2 years’ internship or relevant structural or engineering work experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Structural Engineering degree preferred
Passing FE (Fundamental Engineering Exam) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year
Working knowledge of standards such as IBC, AISC, ACI, AWS, etc.
Possess an aptitude and willingness to per form hands on work

Responsibilities

Perform Structural calculations, 3D design, 2D drawings, component specification, assembly, and documentation according to jurisdiction standards as assigned
Communicate with localities to determine jurisdictions that affect assigned projects
Gather information and pricing for proposal process to include site visits as needed
Execute scope of work or design changes to review with engineers and project management
Interpret and create drawings, layouts, and other engineering documentation
Provide troubleshooting to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue
Develop and execute quality control check lists for fabrication and construction
Oversee, submit and track permit applications for projects as needed
Serve as a consultant for other business groups
Walk / use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel
Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type
Perform work on site in industrial, commercial, and residential locations
