About The Position

STV has an immediate need for a Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our Transportation and Infrastructure Team, located in either our Raleigh or Charlotte, NC offices. This position will involve analysis, design and inspection of highway, rail and pedestrian bridges and associated structures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred, but not required.
  • 5-10 years of progressive design experience on structural engineering projects.
  • EIT Certification required. PE preferred.
  • Solid structural analysis and design skills with an understanding of related engineering disciplines needed to complete transportation and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to form effective relationships with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an integral part of the Bridge Practice in our NC offices.
  • Provide analysis, design and inspection of bridges and related structures.
  • Support structural design on selected projects and lead assigned tasks as appropriate.
  • Provide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating junior staff.
  • Proactively drive safety and ensure that health and safety practices are maintained.
  • Assist in maintaining quality of project deliverables produced by the Bridge Group.
