About The Position

Parsons is seeking Mid-Level Bridge Engineers to join our dynamic team in Baltimore, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful structural projects across the DC/MD/VA region and nationwide. We are looking for professionals with a passion for both conventional and design-build bridge programs who want to be part of a global company that has transformed over 4,400 bridges worldwide. In this role, you will work on a variety of bridge projects, including concrete and steel bridges, deck and superstructure rehabilitations, and innovative designs. You will have the opportunity to enhance your technical expertise while delivering high-quality bridge designs that meet the needs of our clients. Parsons is known for its technical excellence, client-focused approach, and successful project execution. This role would require you to work from our Baltimore, MD office.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
5+ years of experience in highway/roadway engineering design is required.
Professional Engineering (PE) license and other relevant certifications may be required.
Proficiency in CAD and other engineering bridge design and analysis software tools is essential.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and design bridge structures to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks with precision and efficiency.
Develop engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, surveys, and designs.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and junior Engineers working on the same project.
Serve as a lead engineer for specific disciplines on small to intermediate-sized projects or contribute as part of a larger project team.
Demonstrate a commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative problem-solving, and delivering superior results.
Build and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
