About The Position

Full service engineering firm with tradition and reputation that goes back over 40 years looking to add a Structural Bridge Engineer to their Novi office!

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with a emphasis on structural engineering
• 4+ years of experience
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software
• Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Prestressed Concrete preferred
• Layout/design of bridges and highway structures expertise preferred

Responsibilities

• Design/plan projects according to design specifications for a variety of bridge types (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete girder, and reinforced concrete slab structures)
• Ensure strength/safety of highway structures through structural analysis
• Prepare structural design/contract documents (drawings, specifications, and estimates)
• Assist with preparing project budgets/schedules
• Prepare bridge/transportation design calculations
