About The Position

Consor is seeking a motivated Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our growing Structural / Bridge Engineering Group in our Draper, Utah office. As a dynamic and expanding engineering consulting firm, Consor offers exceptional opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and advancement. The selected candidate will work as an integral member of a close‑knit team on a wide range of structural and bridge design projects. You will work under the guidance of a structural engineer with over two decades of experience in transportation and project delivery. In this role, you will design structures of all types, including (but not limited to) highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, culverts, walls, overhead sign structures, and miscellaneous drainage structures. You will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects and clients, helping you build a strong foundation for your career. Requirements

  • 2+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on bridge design
  • Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge of concrete and steel design
  • Experience required with: Bentley Open Roads Designer (ORD) or other versions of MicroStation
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame (pass FE exam)

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with a team of other engineers on a project
  • Focus on career building with set achievable goals
  • Perform structural and bridge analysis and engineering calculations
  • Develop structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents
  • Conduct conceptual engineering studies
  • Support preliminary engineering and final design efforts
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Coordinate with internal project managers, coworkers, local governments, and UDOT
