Responsibilities

• Manage the team’s BIM technicians to support and deliver project deliverables.
• Define BIM policies and best practices for the group in collaboration with colleagues.
• Work independently in producing documentation for project deliveries.
• Act as liaison for BIM related subject matter both internally and externally.
• Collaborate with the Structural Engineers to resource and staff projects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop standards and process improvements.
• Lead the set-up, maintenance, and development of project models.
• Work with project managers and technical design staff to prepare drawing documentation.
• Develop families and other electronic template materials following corporate guidelines.
• Review projects for adherence to firm standards.
• Evaluate and recommend BIM related software.
• Create end user training and support materials.
• Oversee and lead in the development of BIM Execution Plans for projects.
• Communicate corporate initiatives and standards to the BC team.
• Create electronic data files in compliance with Stantec and client requirements.
• Convert markups to document-ready work.
• Publish, post, and manage drawing sets.
• Maintain drawing revisions.
• Assist other staff with Revit issues and mentor design staff in Design Technology systems use across multiple office locations.
• Provide insight and recommendations to increase efficiency and value of BIM production.
• Increase technical and project knowledge by proactively identifying and participating in training opportunities.
• Attend in-house project meetings and external meetings.
• Actively participate in meetings, initiatives, and projects that support group and firm-wide goals.
