Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable
3+ years' experience in structural analysis, fatigue, fracturing mechanics and dynamic stress analysis
Familiarity with conceptual design of structures, load paths, test concept development and test plan preparation in conjunction with customer interface support and support test data analysis
US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of ANSYS, Math-CAD Prime and Autodesk Inventor a plus

Responsibilities

Perform Hand calculations from classical analysis
Perform structural analysis of test fixtures for aerospace and other structures.
Perform conceptual, preliminary, and final design/analysis of mechanical systems including test fixtures and prototype aerospace structures
Interface with support design teams.
Evaluate hardware discrepancies to contract requirements and design integrity with the intent of determining proper techncial disposition and justification to customer
Prepare and review techncial reports for customer submittal and approval
Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required
Acts independently to determine improvement methods and/or procedures to optimize techncial product, cost, and schedule requirements
