POSITION DESCRIPTION You will serve as a senior technical authority performing advanced structural and thermal analysis using state-of-the-art FEA tools to evaluate and optimize high-vacuum systems, composite and metallic structures, and fabricated assemblies. You’ll lead static, dynamic, modal, and thermal simulations, validate analytical models with test data, and partner closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams to ensure performance, safety, and reliability. You’ll produce and review high-quality engineering documentation, guide fabrication and assembly packages, drive continuous improvement in simulation processes, and ensure strict compliance with DOE and NQA-1 quality standards—while mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.

  • performing advanced structural and thermal analysis using state-of-the-art FEA tools to evaluate and optimize high-vacuum systems, composite and metallic structures, and fabricated assemblies
  • lead static, dynamic, modal, and thermal simulations
  • validate analytical models with test data
  • partner closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams to ensure performance, safety, and reliability

  • mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural and/or thermal analysis.
  • Experience with DOE projects.
  • Experience with ANSYS and Structural Analysis.
  • Expeirence with Pipe Stress Analysis
  • CREO experience.
  • NQA-1 experience.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below)
  • Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
  • Current Q Clearance.
  • Prior experience with centrifuge systems.
