This structural analysis engineer must have a background in spacecraft development, and must be able to understand the balance between engineering judgment versus analysis rigor and when each is appropriate. This Structures Analysis Engineer will be a SME in Satellite Primary Bus Structures. The person will be responsible to work comfortably with System FEM models, develop detailed FEMs when appropriate, integrate sub-system payload FEMs, complete classical hand calculations, and interface with various design engineering teams. The person will be familiar with dynamic loads, and various test methods used to substantiate satellite primary structures. The Structural Integrity and Analysis team is responsible for Structural Integrity of not only the spacecraft but all other commodities supporting the program, inside and outside of Mechanical Engineering group.
