About The Position

Structural Analysis Engineer (Experienced) (Structural Analysis) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA) – Interiors Structures Stress Team, is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer (Experienced) with knowledge of aircraft interiors stress analysis methods and engineering principles to support commercial aircraft programs, in Long Beach, CA.. Primary Responsibilities: Provides guidance on structural design and configuration development Performs detailed structural analysis to determine structural integrity (margins of safety), using classical techniques and Boeing tools. This analysis can support production, responses to customer inquiries, service bulletin development, failure investigation, regulatory agency coordination and show compliance with regulatory requirements Works with the team to integrate component-level structural models and perform integrated analysis, using finite element methods, to develop internal loads and stresses in order to verify structural integrity Documents structural analyses and data required to show compliance with Boeing, customer, and regulatory requirements Participates in the resolution of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer (internal and external) This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Long Beach, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • Experience with aircraft stress/structural analysis

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years’ of relevant experience with aircraft stress/structural analysis
  • 3+ years’ experience in Finite Element Methods specifically the ability to independently construct, execute, review, and manage finite element models
  • 3+ years’ of experience with hand (classical) structural analysis
  • Experience with MSC PATRAN and NASTRAN
  • Ability to support occasional domestic travel to support our customers
  • Experience with stress analysis for aircraft interiors
  • Experience validating or verifying finite element model results
  • Experience working with or showing compliance to FAA and EASA regulations
  • Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
