About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a n Entry or Associates Level (Level 1 or 2) Structural Analysis Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama, New Orleans, Louisiana, or Titusville, Florida. Position Responsibilities Supports the development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Supports product design and structural verification integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Supports the development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Works under close or general supervision This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship . An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Entry, Level 1: Typically, a bachelors or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
  • Associates, Level 2: Typically, 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements.
  • To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
  • “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Aeronautical)
  • Experience in aerospace stress analysis
  • Experience with Engineering classification such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with Fatigue or Durability Analysis.
