About The Position

Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
  • Experience in Stroke & Sepsis Program Coordination: planning, implementing and evaluating outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of California.
  • Current basic life support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced National Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct and have accountability for assigned areas of Palmdale Regional Medical Center.
  • Manage stroke & sepsis patients from door to discharge, providing education and ensuring appropriate discharge disposition.
  • Provide coordination of care and follow up to Palmdale Regional patients for 90 days post discharge.
  • Assist with business planning, marketing, and development for the program including integration and optimization of patient care.
  • Facilitate daily program operations and demonstrate thorough understanding of financial system for budget management.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Leaders on program specific clinical processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Act as mentor and coach to enable problem solving and develop smooth functioning teams with a focus on accountability, quality, and satisfaction.
