About The Position

The primary focus of the RN Program Coordinator is to coordinate a high quality, safe, effective, and efficient program across all assigned areas and in conjunction with other efforts across the institution. The RN Program Coordinator partners with physicians, nurses, administrators and other support staff, to operationalize the program. The RN Program Coordinator provides consultation to various stakeholders and contributes to the establishment of policies, practices, protocols, and procedures in the Department in alignment with institutional practice at Mayo Clinic. Key components of the RN Program Coordinator role are to serve as a resource, consultant, and project manager for program-related activities. In conjunction with the members of the healthcare team, and other stakeholders, the coordinator is responsible for program planning, implementing and evaluation. In addition, this role will assist with required education and training and providing meaningful information for Departmental leadership for decision making. The RN Program Coordinator develops and maintains effective relationships with a variety of individuals throughout the institution and may have regular contact with persons outside Mayo Clinic as job duties require. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program
  • Recent RN program-related experience
  • Program management, project coordination and/or leadership experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with research processes
  • Ability to utilize software in developing data collection systems, processing and analysis of data
  • Current RN license by applicable state requirements
  • Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
  • Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field preferred.
  • Certification in program specialty area, if applicable
