About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Stroke Neurologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. Requirements

Active, Unrestricted NYS License
Board Certification in Neurology
Fellowship Training and board eligibility or certification in Stroke or Neuromuscular Medicine
Active DEA license

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including dedicated outpatient clinic sessions, inpatient and emergency room consults, and supervision of resident clinics, with a focus on stroke care.
Participate in the call schedule, as assigned.
Provide clinical guidance and direction to other members of the healthcare team as needed.
Mentor and educate residents and medical students.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $287,000 (Board Eligible in Neurology Fellowship in addition to General Neurology Board Certification) - $292,000 (Board Certified in Neurology Fellowship in addition to General Neurology Board Certification) based on 40-hour work week.
The annual total value of the compensation package is $411,220 (Board Eligible) and $416,720 (Board Certified) which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
