Stroke Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) | Full-Time Location: Renton, Washington A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Renton, Washington area is actively seeking a full-time Stroke Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its comprehensive stroke and neuroscience program. This is a collaborative, patient-centered environment with strong neurology, neurosurgery, and critical care support. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Washington State license (or eligible)
- Board Certified (FNP, AGNP, ACNP, or NCCPA certified)
- Active/Eligible DEA registration
- Stroke, neurology, or critical care experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively in acute care settings
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient stroke care in collaboration with neurologists and neurosurgery teams
- Evaluate and manage acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients
- Participate in stroke alerts and rapid response evaluations
- Manage post-thrombolysis and post-thrombectomy patients
- Coordinate care transitions, discharge planning, and secondary stroke prevention
- Provide patient and family education regarding risk factor modification and recovery
- Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stroke program development
