Stroke Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) | Full-Time Location: Renton, Washington A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Renton, Washington area is actively seeking a full-time Stroke Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its comprehensive stroke and neuroscience program. This is a collaborative, patient-centered environment with strong neurology, neurosurgery, and critical care support. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Washington State license (or eligible)
  • Board Certified (FNP, AGNP, ACNP, or NCCPA certified)
  • Active/Eligible DEA registration
  • Stroke, neurology, or critical care experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively in acute care settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient stroke care in collaboration with neurologists and neurosurgery teams
  • Evaluate and manage acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients
  • Participate in stroke alerts and rapid response evaluations
  • Manage post-thrombolysis and post-thrombectomy patients
  • Coordinate care transitions, discharge planning, and secondary stroke prevention
  • Provide patient and family education regarding risk factor modification and recovery
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stroke program development
