A qualified Stripline Operator is responsible for the proper setup and operation of the Stripline machine. This includes selecting the correct size and style of stripshoe based on the product and ensuring quality throughout the stripping process. The operator must be able to follow instructions from supervision and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate working knowledge of Stripline equipment including take-up, payoff, huestes, and granulator
• Select appropriate tooling setup to strip curing jackets, finish jackets, or insulation as required
• Monitor product quality during the stripping process
• Adjust take-up reel traverse as needed and package product according to specified lengths
• Report product defects to the foreman or QC inspector
• Complete all required documentation, including labor reports, traveler tags, length sheets, and nuclear respool sheets
• Report maintenance or safety issues immediately to a supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all plant safety rules and regulations
