Glendora Music and Arts School is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Music Teacher for a part-time position. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about music and enjoy teaching beginners. The school is Glendora's premier choice for music lessons, boasting over 475 registered students. We prioritize our employees' schedules, ensuring that they have a full agenda on the days they come in, thus avoiding the inconvenience of driving to work for a short lesson. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach various instruments, including guitar, piano, drums, and voice. All students are beginners, so advanced teaching skills are not necessary, but proficiency in the instrument you specialize in is required. The position requires availability to teach private music lessons on 1-3 days per week, with business hours from Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 8 PM, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. There may also be opportunities to teach group classes on weekends as needed. Candidates should have prior music teaching experience and the ability to work with a variety of ages, particularly young children. Strong communication skills are essential, as instructors will need to interact with parents to provide feedback after lessons. Excellent attendance and punctuality are crucial, as frequent absences due to gigs or tours will not be accommodated. This position is intended for those looking for a medium to long-term commitment, rather than a short-term or temporary job. Legal status to work in the US is also required.
