About The Position

The Stringer Operator is an integral member of the Operations team. Stringer Operators work with the Stringer machine, which is the lynchpin of the production of Photovoltaic Modules. The Stringer Operator performs functions, as assigned to ensure the Stringer machine is running properly including but not limited to: Handle cells using proper techniques and load cells into stringer machines. Start and stop automatic operation under normal circumstances. Perform ribbon changes in a timely manner. Perform two-hour cleanings in a timely manner that follows proper techniques. Perform daily cleanings. Track machine downtime and cell usage/waste. Understand the string EL and be able to make quick accurate decisions based on the EL image. Troubleshoot equipment issues and use HMI diagnostics to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with quality and production standards through regular parameter adjustments. Work safely and effectively with all members of the production team. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Must possess technical capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of understanding and following oral and written instructions
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Maintain production and quality standards
  • Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires standing for long periods of time
  • Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening required
  • This position is identified as a Safety Sensitive Position
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion tasks for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to tolerate an assembly line environment

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to people with demonstrated technical capabilities and manufacturing experience. O the job training provided if necessary
  • Experience with HMI interfaces is an asset
  • Computer experience is considered an asset
  • Soldering experience
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Self-motivated individual
