About The Position

SAIC is looking for Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program at Joint Base McGuire Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. The SCC will act as part of a multi-discipline team that will provide program analytical support and qualified/certified Strength and Conditioning training collaborating with the Cognitive Performance Specialists (CPS) and Athletic Trainers (AT) to function as integrated members of a Brigade (BDE)-based multi-disciplinary team focused on optimizing Soldier readiness and performance within the Army's new Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System. The H2F System is the Army's primary investment in Soldier readiness and lethality, optimal physical and non-physical performance, reduced injury rates, improved rehabilitation after injury, and increased overall effectiveness of the Total Army.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education related discipline and (3) three years of relevant experience.
  • 1 year of related experience in developing and implementing human performance training in a military or collegiate/professional sports environment---Military experience preferred.
  • Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity to relate to Soldiers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications and

Responsibilities

  • Developing lines of communication within the BDE and Battalion (BN) leadership.
  • Developing and recommending evidence-based, periodise strength and conditioning programs focused on unit missions and individual Soldier tasks.
  • Submit recommended strength and conditioning programs to the BDE leadership for approval.
  • Track Soldier/unit progression and provide data to the BDE PD as required.
  • Coordinate and assist the BDE leadership and/or the BDE Athletic Trainers (AT) to develop, coordinate, and execute approved training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations.
