About The Position

Streetlighting Bucket Operator MUST HAVE A VALID CDL LICENSE Performs work from aerial devices and ladders to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment. Working hours are typically a 10-hour day. Pay: Competitive/Hourly (more detail during your interview process) Benefits: Health/Dental/Vision Insurance Short/Long Term Disability Matching 401(k) Plan Paid Holidays and Vacation FR Clothing Provided Employee Payroll Deduction Program Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Operates various tools for the work (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come-alongs, handling, etc.). Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions and assists with work and material assembling from the ground Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cables as required by contract specification. Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate the work to be performed. Exposed to traffic and may be required to have training on traffic flagging. All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Able to: meet and maintain weight restrictions for bucket trucks as identified by the truck manufacturer.
  • Able to: work long hours and overtime, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call out work.
  • Able to: work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
  • Able to: work efficiently and effectively while working at heights.
  • Able to: safely enter and exit the aerial device and rear-end of the bucket and derrick trucks.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical & obtain DOT medical card required.
  • Must be willing to travel out of town/state for regular/emergency storm work.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
