Street Sweeper Operator - Driver If this ad is up, a position is open Local North Orange County, CA Street Sweeping company looking to train you to operate our street sweepers. $23/hr during 2-4 week initial training.Then $24-30 per hour. How fast you go from $24 to $30 is up to you. We don't rely on seniority; we rely on performance and competence. You can grow faster than someone hired before you. Yes, we "drive", but only to and from the jobsite. Once there, we are operators putting on a performance. Even a layperson can tell a skilled artisan by watching them work. Sweeper Operators are the same. There are "drivers," and there are "Craftsmen". We are looking for those with a passion to be masters of their craft. (We use the term Craftsman, but women make great operators as well.) Success Factors include: Show up to work 100% on time. Paperwork is neat and completed each day. Safety in the shop and on the road is paramount, so you need to keep a 100% safety record. Thrive in a constantly changing and challenging environment. However, this is full-time work.We work locally, so you are home every night.You will be working outdoors and in many varied environments. Our current position is for daytime work,but the day can start early as in 4:00 am. No sweeping experience needed. Because our team performs work on K-8 school campuses and in residential communities, this position requires the ability to meet standards appropriate for working in and around school environments. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check after a conditional offer of employment has been made.
