About The Position

The Street Sweeper Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Leeboy street sweeper to maintain clean, safe, and compliant roadways and work areas across the mine site. This role supports capital projects by controlling dust, removing debris, and maintaining asphalted roads onsite, including parking areas, plant access roads, and other designated areas on site. The operator works closely with the Capital Projects team to ensure site conditions meet safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience operating a street sweeper or similar equipment preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to work safely in an active mine or construction environment
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call as required

Nice To Haves

• Mining, heavy industrial, or construction site experience
• MSHA experience or willingness to obtain MSHA training
• Familiarity with capital projects or large-scale site development

Responsibilities

• Operate a Leeboy street sweeper and related equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections and complete required documentation
• Maintain asphalted roads, parking areas, plant access roads, and other designated areas
• Control dust and debris in support of MSHA, environmental, and site compliance
• Coordinate with Capital Projects and site operations on daily work plans
• Identify and report equipment issues, safety hazards, or road conditions requiring attention
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and cleaning
• Follow all site safety rules, traffic patterns, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Support additional capital project-related tasks as assigned
