About The Position

The Street Sweeper (CDL) helps keep our streets clean by safely operating and inspecting equipment, following assigned routes, and ensuring all work is completed with attention to detail. This role involves proper handling of materials, clear communication with team members, and accurate completion of logs and reports. The Street Sweeper also plays a key role in maintaining safety standards, adapting to changing conditions, and addressing any issues that arise on the job. This role requires performing required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment in accordance with company standards, ensuring all safety features are operational before beginning the route, reviewing assigned routes thoroughly prior to departure, and being proactive in asking clarifying questions if the route or expectations are unclear. The position involves completing assigned jobs within the allotted timeframe while maintaining expected quality and attention to detail, operating equipment safely and efficiently at all times, following all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and site-specific protocols, and exercising additional caution during inclement weather or challenging site conditions. Responsibilities also include handling materials safely and securely, applying correct procedures for material types and disposal sites, reporting any equipment issues, malfunctions, near misses, crashes, or injuries within 30 minutes or as soon as safely possible, and immediately escalating opportunities, work issues, or safety concerns to management. The role requires maintaining a professional attitude and appearance, communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients, and accurately completing required logs, manifests, and forms. Adaptability and problem-solving skills are essential to respond appropriately to changes and challenges, and to identify and solve issues timely. Regular and predictable attendance is a key requirement, including consistently reporting to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences, being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times. The primary goal of this role is to maintain clean, safe, and debris-free streets and public areas.

Requirements

  • 1 year of job experience
  • High School or GED
  • CDL-Class B/DOT
