About The Position

DRN ReadiTech is seeking motivated, detail‑oriented temporary StreamTV Installers to support StreamTV installations and customer education throughout our service area. This role works alongside DRN ReadiTech Outside Plant Technicians to install StreamTV services, upgrade internet equipment as needed, and ensure members/customers are confident using their streaming devices. This is an excellent opportunity for college students or others who are interested in technology, customer service, hands‑on field experience and looking for a temporary position.

Requirements

• Currently looking for a temporary job (summer). The timing of this position is ideal for college students looking for a summer job.
• General understanding of how Streaming TV services work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to commit to a temporary position from approximately mid‑May through mid‑August
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid, clear driver’s license and be comfortable traveling to DRN ReadiTech facilities in a company vehicle
• Ability to work independently from start to finish on assigned projects with limited supervision
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to identify issues, make recommendations, and propose creative, realistic solutions
• Must be able to read computer screen and various reports. Must have good visual perception and be able to distinguish between colors.
• Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with employees and industry contacts.
• Must be able to write, type, and use phone system.

Responsibilities

• Assist Outside Plant Technicians with StreamTV installations throughout DRN ReadiTech service areas
• Install and set up internet routers, StreamTV boxes, and streaming devices (FireTV, Roku, Apple TV, etc.)
• Educate customers on proper use of StreamTV services and streaming devices in a clear, friendly manner
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate technical issues when necessary
• Upgrade internet equipment as required during installations
• Accurately document installations, customer interactions, and completed work
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while representing DRN ReadiTech in customer homes
• Follow safety procedures, company policies, and installation standards
• Work independently on assigned projects while collaborating effectively with team members
