About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Stream Restoration Engineer/Designer. In this role, you will provide critical technical advisement and oversight on complex environmental projects, ensuring compliance with various regulations and project management standards. Your expertise in stream restoration design and project-related environmental experience will be key in driving the success of initiatives aimed at ecological restoration. You will collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders, playing a vital role in enhancing project outcomes and fostering continuous improvement within the team. Your leadership and problem-solving skills will not only be fundamental in project execution but also in mentoring junior engineering staff.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in engineering discipline or M.S. degree with relevant experience.
  • 5-10+ years of project-related environmental experience.
  • Expert knowledge of project management and stream restoration design.
  • Proficient in computer-based data analysis and design.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior-level client management.
  • Rosgen Level I-IV training and experience in stream restoration design.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and execute leadership and decision-making consistent with core values.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations during project execution.
  • Act as a team engineer for complex remedial designs and compliance projects.
  • Serve as an expert witness in legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
  • Provide final technical review and approval of project documents.
  • Deliver technical and regulatory training and mentoring to junior engineering staff.
  • Direct and advise on complex engineering design and ecological restoration projects.
  • Identify and champion continuous technical improvement initiatives.
  • Develop new client relations and identify future opportunities.
  • Contribute to the identification of new technical initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and attend professional development training.
