Role Description We are seeking a Strategy & Transformation Consultant to support and lead components of strategic planning, change management, operational improvement, and workforce development engagements. In this mid‑level position, you will work directly with utility leaders, contribute meaningful insights, and support the delivery of high‑impact solutions that enhance organizational performance and culture. You will excel in this role if you are a strong communicator, a structured problem solver, and someone who enjoys collaborating within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consulting, strategy, organizational improvement, operations, or related disciplines.
  • We are seeking a candidate with experience supporting cross-functional teams, independently managing tasks, and contributing to structured project delivery.
  • The ideal individual brings strong analytical capabilities and can translate data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • They possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or relevant advanced degree.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, or similar and experience in the water industry, public sector, or utilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of strategic plans, organizational assessments, workforce strategies, and transformation roadmaps
  • Develop dynamic, future‑focused strategies that clearly guide clients toward their long-term aspirations and enable confident decision‑making in rapidly evolving environments.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, including interviews, surveys, data assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in reviewing and optimizing client business processes to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and overall value.
  • Contribute to the development of change management plans that engage and prepare employees for digital, operational, or cultural transformation.
  • Build trusted working relationships with client stakeholders and support engagement activities such as workshops, presentations, and working sessions.
  • Help translate research, data, and insights into clear recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver high-quality client experiences by actively listening, anticipating needs, and supporting project leadership.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Arcadis’ national and global networks to co-create innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in strategy, organizational performance, and transformation in the water and public sectors.
  • Lead proposal development, pursuit activities, and client development that support growth of the Business Advisory team.

  • The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $120,000.. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
