About The Position

As a Strategy & Planning Consultant you will be part of the team responsible for partnering with executive and senior management to facilitate, align, assess, and plan strategies to drive profitable growth throughout the property casualty and financial services companies. Your role will support these activities through the following: Strategic Portfolio Plan & Annual Project Portfolio Plan: Develop plans as directed to support strategic portfolio and annual project portfolio plan development including dependencies, timeframes/schedule, resource, and financial needs and risks. Strategic Planning: Support the Long-Term Strategic Planning (LTSP) process as directed. Activities may include the development of materials for facilitation, identification, and alignment of strategies to drive profitable growth of the property casualty and financial services companies. Strategic Ideation & Gap Analysis: Develop materials as directed to support the facilitation of workgroups to identify what is working, what is not, and where gaps exist in the current strategy. Strategic Assessments: Gather and assess information as directed on proposed transformative business models and modernization strategies to clearly define and document a supporting, actionable vision, road map, and business case. Business Performance Analytics: Understand key performance indicators and critical success factors across P&C, life, annuity, and wealth management to develop and/or share data-backed analysis that support and influence executive decision-making and long-term strategies to drive sustainable growth and profitability. Business Insights: Research complex topics and frame key questions that lead to actionable business insights and recommendations. Strategic Planning Processes: Update and maintain Strategic Planning processes and capabilities to support cascading and communicating, measuring, and providing oversight of strategic and annual planning.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Very strong analytical, organizational, strategic thinking, problem solving and documentation skills.
  • Proven experience demonstrating an ability to assess business needs, issues, and financial impacts to support the successful planning and delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills to work with a variety of business and technology resources at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a self-starter, results oriented and able to adapt and deal with ambiguous situations and manage expectations.
  • Some travel may be necessary, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to write, speak and read the English language.
  • Reasonably regular and predictable attendance.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Business/strategic planning experience – facilitating development, presenting, gaining approval and tracking results preferred.
  • Project or program related experience preferred.
  • Insurance business experience preferred.
