About The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated Strategy Operations Manager to join our team. This role focuses on optimizing operational processes, supporting strategic projects, and ensuring seamless execution across departments. The ideal candidate will leverage a strong quantitative background to analyze data, manage stakeholders, and drive projects to successful completion. With a hybrid work model, you'll spend 3 days in our Downers Grove office collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, strategy consulting, or a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or similar) and experience with statistical modeling or financial forecasting.
  • Superb attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies, errors, and opportunities in data and processes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus among diverse groups.
  • Strong project management expertise, preferably with certifications such as PMP or Agile/Scrum.
  • High level of drive and initiative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with 3 days per week in the Downers Grove, IL office; must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Lean Process Design, Six Sigma, Kaizen or simar
  • Experience in strategy operations within [relevant industry, e.g., tech, finance, manufacturing].
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams or mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, scalability, and performance across the organization.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis using data modeling, forecasting, and optimization techniques to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Manage end-to-end projects, including planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and risk mitigation, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance operational outcomes.
  • Oversee process documentation, audits, and compliance efforts with a keen eye for detail to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, providing guidance and support to teams while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
