Role Summary: Join Cat Technology Autonomy & Automation to directly solve some of our customers’ toughest challenges in safety, labor and productivity by leading the development and execution of the mid to long-term Command and Autonomy business development strategy with the global business partners in Construction Industries.

Requirements

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
  • Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Business Management, Marketing and/or Engineering
  • 7 years progressive industry or Caterpillar experience
  • Experience with direct customer facing roles to understand our customers’ toughest challenges and construction applications, and/or customer technology onboard & offboard adoption and utilization.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar Machine Product Group and Cat Technology processes for product, quality, velocity and cost as well as NPI process awareness and GTM implementation
  • Prior roles demonstrating cross-functional collaboration, execution, influencing and understanding of customer value for Retail, Rental and Aftermarket solutions.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft office and Caterpillar insights tools for Retail, Rental & Aftermarket

Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional collaboration with business partners across the organization and outside consultants to gain industry trends and collect voice of the customer and voice of the business to propose ideas, go-to-market improvements and commercial enablers for business growth.
  • Manages S&OP, key performance metrics, dashboards and supporting management tools in place to monitor performance and develop processes to simplify quoting, ensure fully commercialized solution for sales process improvement, improve velocity to the dirt, and address retail barriers to entry in partnership with Customer Solutions Core and Growth Regions.
  • Planning and directing all projects for Command and Construction Autonomy products viewed as critical to customer workflow and channel activation for Retail and Rental opportunities.
  • Gather information and assess the market including unmet customer needs, competitive issues, market dynamics, market service needs and the company position in the industry by securing a leadership role within the trade associations, technical bodies and schools particular to this sector.
