Strategy & Innovation Intern (SUMMER 2026) (REMOTE)

VOA is one of the nation’s most comprehensive human services charities, offering programs for communities, individuals and families VOA is seeking an Intern to support the Strategy & Innovation Team. The person in this role should have an interest or experience in community health, innovation and stakeholder engagement. This position is full-time (up to 40 hours per week) This position extends the opportunity for a fully Remote work schedule The internship is unpaid, however, a stipend is provided
Requirements
- Experience with basic data research, analysis and corresponding communications (i.e. charts, infographics, etc.)
- Demonstrated examples of compelling reports and presentations
- Project management and group leadership
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Support the VOA\Humana Foundation relationship by collecting impact stories from the field and developing into compelling communication deliverables
- Assist with the stakeholder engagement and project management of research project: ‘Integrated Health Technology for Older Adults Aging in Place’
- Research and design for new business proposals and presentations
- (Virtually) Attend all Team and client meetings, as needed
- Engage with appropriate staff at VOA National and local VOA Affiliates to collect materials
- Contribute creatively to proposals and presentations. This requires strong writing skills and some practice at compelling graphical layout in programs like PowerPoint
- Support project management functions like scheduling meetings, compiling deliverables and following up with stakeholders
- Professional communications with internal and external company leadership
- Online, industry research to identify prospects, best practices and peer comparisons
