About the position

The Platforms and Devices (PandD) Partnerships Strategy and Operations team creates and drives a cohesive partner strategy across the suite of PandD products: Android, Play, ChromeOS, Auto, G1+ Photos and more. Google understands the partner ecosystem and markets in which these products operate, and apply structured analytics and reasoning to develop and execute strategy. In this role, you will partner with the leadership to support efficient business operations and execute on high priority initiatives. This is a highly visible role across the PandD Partnerships organization and cross-functionally. You need to be detail oriented, with bias towards action, but also have the ability to reflect, and to have a holistic strategic mindset. You will demonstrate the ability to lead through ambiguity, display the confidence to thoughtfully persuade and partner with executive leaders, and build strong cross-functional relationships at multiple levels of the organization. You will demonstrate a good balance between strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and pragmatism in accomplishing goals effectively. The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational expertise for the PandD Partnerships organization through management of the global business operations including strategic planning and OKR setting and tracking.
  • Manage and maintain ongoing rhythm of the business deliverables.
  • Proactively create programs and processes to solve business operations challenges, and influence cross-functional teams and leadership to bring them to life.
  • Co-develop and successfully land cross-functional projects and initiatives, liaising across Business Development (BD), legal, finance, and more.
  • Communicate actionable insights to executive leadership by preparing and delivering executive-ready materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a Chief of Staff team or a similar team, driving strategic and operational initiatives while working with executive leaders.
  • Experience in managing and delivering project components with limited guidance.
  • Ability to work in a complex environment and deliver multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to distill insights from complex data and present actionable recommendations, and to identify and solve problems within a given project scope.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent investigative, communication and collaboration skills.
