The role mitigates supplier‑driven cost increases and cost volatility through strategic sourcing and supplier engagement to protect supply continuity and total cost of ownership. In addition, the position provides strategic sourcing support for direct materials in NALAN, North America and Northern Latin America, manufacturing operations specifically Stoughton, WI; Indianapolis, IN; and Belen, NM, as required. The scope of responsibility excludes risks related to strategic raw materials sourced within the U.S. and Canada that are not utilized in NALAN manufacturing but are used at other global manufacturing sites. This position reports to the Senior Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain required.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a direct or indirect leadership role required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail balanced with strategic thinking.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills with the ability to assess tradeoffs and risks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, prioritize, and remain flexible in a face-paced environment.
  • Understanding of general business and financial analysis.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and collaborative approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Supply Chain Certification strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in Global pharmaceutical manufacturing industries preferred; market and industry knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own supplier risk identification, assessment, and mitigation for direct raw materials, indirect materials, and services supporting manufacturing operations at the West Point, PA site, and provide strategic sourcing support for direct materials at other NALAN manufacturing sites.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to supply continuity, capacity, and cost stability through strategic sourcing, supplier engagement, and secondary sourcing.
  • Lead and execute Mitigate supplier‑driven cost increases and cost volatility while protecting continuity of supply and total cost of ownership.
  • Manage and develop supplier relationships, serving as the primary escalation point for supply and cost risks.
  • Conduct regular supplier reviews and performance monitoring to address service, quality, reliability, and commercial risks.
  • Qualify and onboard new suppliers to reduce risk of business interruption and support growth and new product initiatives.
  • Negotiate supply agreements and commercial terms to manage risk, ensure continuity, and control total cost of ownership.
  • Act as global category manager for several groups of materials to monitor market, economic, and industry trends to anticipate risks and opportunities affecting sourced materials and services.
  • Ensure sourcing activities align with Quality and compliance requirements, including supplier qualification and ongoing performance and sustainability standards.
