About The Position

You'll be with the Global Supply Chain organization (GSC) on the Capacity and Rate Readiness (CRR) team within the Strategic Sourcing Supply Chain department. You'll support the CRR team to ensure that supplier capacity and rate readiness align for multiple programs. The CRR team collects, measures, and analyzes the Supply Base's capacity for all lines of Aero Business. Our data is used in business case and funding decisions for all lines of demand, production, sustainment, mods, and developmental. Working under supervision and guidance, you will analyze program demand data versus supplier capacity to identify and recommend where additional supplier capacity assessments are needed. Distribute the supply base capacity assessments and questionnaires and collect the data via email. The process may require you to engage with buyers and the suppliers. Support continuous improvement activities at suppliers to improve supplier capacity. Collect and organize data that will be used to communicate status to the team and various levels of leadership and to upload the data to demand control databases. Prepare graphical output of data using Microsoft Excel to communicate team progress and status to management. Good collaboration and teaming skills, have the ability to formulate effective data driven recommendations, and be able to integrate with cross functional teams to achieve results. May also have brief interactions with leadership on an intermittent basis. Complete other related duties and assignments including documenting standard work.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience in supply chain, production operations, or manufacturing.
  • Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel experience, Tableau and automation dashboard creation.
  • Experience preforming Capacity Part Number Simulation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using SCM data sources such as SAP, Supplier Intelligence Dashboard (SID), Procurement Dashboard, and EDSC tableau data tools
  • Interpret, communicate, and visualize metrics to customers and leadership in an effective manner
  • Experience participating on continuous improvement teams through automation
  • Experience identifying and mitigating capacity constraints in a production environment
  • Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering knowledge or experience
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification
