Strategic Sourcing Specialist
About The Position
Cadence has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist within their Hardware Systems Verification Supply Chain Team. This person will have the following responsibilities: Design and scale the overall supply chain to meet growing business demands, including sourcing strategy, cost management, and vendor governance. Develop and execute the sourcing strategy, eliminate supply chain risks, achieve operational performance, product quality, and customer satisfaction. Execute global strategic sourcing, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management. Implement and oversee supply base cost management initiatives to drive value and maintain competitive advantage. Serve as a strategic advisor to executive management on procurement strategy, vendor risk, and cost optimization opportunities.
Requirements
- 15+ years of Supply Chain operational leadership experience in the electronic systems industry.
- Rich experience in nurturing long, sustainable relationships with suppliers.
- Deep networks established with vendors in the electronics market.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively, manage risks, drive COGs down, and achieve margin expansion.
- Strong background in procurement, subcontracts, material planning, and inventory operations.
- Strong financial and P&L management skills, with the ability to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
