About The Position

Position Summary: The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for sourcing/procurement teams and supporting site operations leaders in achieving the company’s procurement goals at multiple sites in North America. The role plays a critical role in ensuring manufacturing plants and global distribution centers have the necessary resources to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. The Strategic Sourcing Manager acts as business partner by providing strategic insight and advice on procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and develops and executes a strategic plan to achieve department goals focused on company profitability and maintaining a competitive advantage. Executes sourcing strategies at each site level in collaboration with the site leadership, leveraging market knowledge and supplier relationships to achieve optimal results. Manages multi-site procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services in compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and finance to understand business needs and provide effective procurement solutions. Supports day-to-day relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, while maintaining positive and productive relationships. Manages and collaborates with planning on inventory levels for purchased components, Purchased for Resale (PFR) ensuring that levels are optimized to reduce risk and working capital. Drives process improvements in the area of communication to reduce supplier lead times to support on-time delivery. Allocates budget and supports talent development, retention, and recruitment required to meet business objectives. Ensures organizational financial goals are met, including budget and savings. Ensures department compliance with FDA and ISO regulatory requirements. Attends, understands, and actively participates in Daily Management meetings to stay abreast of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and top priorities. Champions and participates in continuous improvement activities under the Envista Business System (EBS) to contribute to a high-performing team. Travels up to 10% domestically and internationally. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required.
  • Expertise with ERP systems required.
  • Experience applying lean principles within Procurement, Planning, or Manufacturing required.
  • Experience working in an FDA and ISO-regulated environment required.
  • Strong business and financial acumen and ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a C-Suite point of view required.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and adept at problem-solving with a strong focus on outcomes required.
  • Ability to discern the root cause or core need through a seeking-to-understand approach required.
  • Ability to influence without authority and negotiate and close deals required.
  • Strong data analytics skills and intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required
  • Ability to work in multinational and multicultural environments required.
  • Good professional presentation skills and ability to translate information at all levels of the organization required.
  • Self-driven and capable of operating in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Ability to effectively deal with difficult and/or ambiguous situations required.
