About The Position

The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Technology and Marketing is an experienced sourcing professional that oversees all sourcing/procurement related activities and processes associated with the acquisition of products and services, which will include IT software and SaaS, Creative services and Media agencies. This includes requirements gathering, creating and issuing Requests for Proposal (RFP), proposal evaluation, contract negotiations, process oversight, contract drafting and administration. The Sourcing Manager defines sourcing/procurement strategies using a structured sourcing approach leveraging data-driven business insights to support sourcing decisions that will result in significant savings for the company. This role is responsible for developing and implementing procurement best practices, developing sourcing strategies, managing contract life cycle, and building supplier relationships in support of 7-Eleven's key initiatives and growth strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience required.
  • 3+ years management experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop bid analysis and cost models to provide business insights.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Experience leading sourcing/procurement teams to develop category plans and sourcing strategies.
  • Demonstrated successful contract and agreement negotiation experience.
  • Experience and background in Marketing creative and media and Marketing technology strongly preferred.
  • Experience drafting, editing, and negotiating all agreement types, including Master Agreements, Creative and Media Agency Agreement, Statements of Work, Addenda, Change Orders, Sales Orders, and Technology agreements strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite - advanced skills in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs within category and define specifications and requirements.
  • Use data and analysis to develop business insights.
  • Work cross functionally to facilitate decisions and develop sourcing/procurement strategies to mitigate risk, improve performance and cost for designated categories and/or programs.
  • Identify suppliers and execute sourcing events like competitive RFx events, analyze results and develop the sourcing negotiation strategy.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to source/procure products or services needed for categories to optimize spend, reduce risk, achieve favorable terms and drive towards optimized total-cost-of-ownership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective execution and implementation and prompt resolution of any issues that may arise.
  • Stay apprised of market trends and technology advancements, to effectively evaluate the impact of external factors on contractor/supplier performance and the procurement of products.
  • Prepare reports and provide presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support supplier business reviews, governance committees, and category strategy meetings.
  • Identify/interview potential suppliers and determine if supplier is qualified to produce and/or supply products or services.
  • Recommend high impact projects for existing and emerging products and services that drive meaningful results: reduce cost and risk and improve quality.
  • Provides general product and services management support to internal business stakeholders.
  • Participate in the advancement of corporate sustainability programs through sourcing.
  • Manage direct reports, providing mentoring and development.
