About The Position

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to build and manage the supply base for our fuel production systems. This person will own the sourcing strategy for process equipment, BOP, and electrical components, and will drive cost, quality, delivery, and risk management across multiple vendors. A key part of the role is to develop a supply base that can scale quickly in response to demand. This role is based in New Britain, PA

Requirements

  • 7+ years in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or supply base management, ideally for process equipment, skids, or complex industrial systems.
  • Proven experience building or scaling a multi-vendor supply base.
  • Strong background in sourcing on cost, quality, delivery, and risk (total cost of ownership mindset).
  • Hands-on materials planning experience (MRP, demand/supply matching, inventory management).
  • Comfortable reading technical drawings and specifications and working with engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams at once.
  • Problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-moving, build-from-scratch environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in an operations-related field (e.g., supply chain, industrial engineering, operations management, MBA with operations focus) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the sourcing strategy for process equipment modules, balance-of-plant, and electrical components.
  • Build and manage a supply base that can ramp quickly as DoD and other customer demand changes.
  • Identify, qualify, and negotiate with vendors.
  • Drive cost reduction while meeting quality, delivery, and technical requirements.
  • Set up and manage supplier performance metrics (cost, quality, on-time delivery, lead times).
  • Work with engineering to translate technical requirements into clear supplier specifications and RFQs.
  • Lead commercial terms and contract discussions with suppliers with support from legal/finance.
  • Build and maintain a robust multi-vendor supply base to reduce single-supplier risk.
  • Develop and run materials planning for builds (MRP, safety stock, lead-time planning).
  • Coordinate closely with operations, engineering, and program management on demand and build plans.
  • Solve supplier and supply-chain problems quickly and systematically.
