About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Director to join the Audio Video Division in Minnetonka, MN. The Strategic Sourcing Director will lead and execute the sourcing strategy to drive operational excellence across the end-to-end supply chain. Build and nurture strong partnerships with electronics and connectivity suppliers, leveraging digital transformation to create integrated, data-driven sourcing processes. Champion the adoption of digital tools, analytics, business intelligence (BI), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) to enhance visibility, knowledge, and performance throughout the sourcing ecosystem.

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, Supply Chain or other related degree and a minimum of seven years’ experience in sourcing, supply chain or related field; with minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Requires frequent availability and communication during non-standard business hours to communicate with global team members.
  • Must be available for extended, varied work hours based on business need.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives. Stay current with market intelligence, technology trends, and supply chain risks to maintain competitiveness.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration Build strong partnerships with electronics and connectivity suppliers to foster innovation. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing meets quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and compliance Embed sustainability practices into supplier requirements, including environmental responsibility, ethical sourcing, and adherence to corporate sustainability goals.
  • Digital Integration & Analytics Integrate advanced digital tools (analytics, BI, AI, ML) to enhance visibility, decision-making, and performance. Champion supplier integration into digital platforms for real-time data sharing, predictive analytics, & risk management.
  • Operational Excellence Guide the team using best practices, continuous improvement, and agile methodologies. Monitor supplier performance and manage QCD risks through digital scorecards and KPIs.
  • Negotiation & Compliance Lead structured, data-driven negotiations and contracting for optimal outcomes. Ensure adherence to CSR, C-TPAT, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Change Management & Innovation Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes, technologies, and best practices across the supply chain. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging the team to challenge the status quo and implement creative solutions. Develop and execute strategies for process optimization and transformation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Advanced Analytics & Technology Champion the integration of advanced analytics, supply chain modeling, and emerging technologies (such as IoT and blockchain) to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Utilize predictive analytics, BI, AI, and ML to improve end-to-end supply chain visibility and performance. Evaluate and implement new digital tools and platforms to support data-driven sourcing and supply chain management.
  • Crisis Management & Resilience Develop and maintain robust risk management frameworks to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain disruptions. Build resilient supply chain strategies that enable rapid recovery and adaptation to changing market conditions. Lead crisis response efforts, ensuring business continuity during events such as pandemics, geopolitical disruptions, or natural disasters.
