The Strategic Sourcing Associate plays a key role in executing strategic sourcing activities for assigned categories within MGM Resorts International. This position involves assisting in the development of sourcing programs, managing vendor communications, and conducting detailed analyses to support category strategies for the organization and its subsidiaries. All responsibilities must adhere to departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.   • Assist in leading strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned categories.
  • Conduct financial and spend analysis to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support market and supplier analysis to identify potential sourcing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and clarify property requirements.
  • Assist in developing sourcing plans aligned with category strategies.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to support project implementation and compliance.
  • Help develop and manage Request for Proposals (RFPs), including issuing and analyzing responses.
  • Support contract negotiation and execution in coordination with Corporate Legal.
  • Assist in developing and executing project rollout plans to ensure successful implementation and compliance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and prepare reports on purchase trends and program adherence.
  • Support identification and development of diverse and alternative suppliers aligned with sustainability goals.
  • Assist in identifying solutions to sourcing and supplier-related issues.
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience in procurement or sourcing experience is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel knowledge of Vlook ups, index, match and pivot tables is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field is preferred
  • Master's Degree in a related field is highly preferred
  • Experience in project management is highly preferred
