About The Position

The Temporary Strategic Sourcing Assistant provides short‑term administrative, analytical, and coordination support to the Procurement Department. This role helps ensure the smooth execution of sourcing events, supplier onboarding, contract administration, and data management activities, securing the best value, and addressing supply challenges. The position is ideal for and early-career professional that is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable supporting multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Background in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables) and familiarity with procurement software.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform spend analysis and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • RFx Support: Assist in the creation and distribution of Requests for Proposal (RFPs),
  • Information (RFIs), and Quotes (RFQs), and help prepare incoming bids.
  • Contract Management: Maintain organized records of vendor contracts, monitor expiration dates, and assist in preparing documentation for renewals as requested.
  • Daily Operations: Serve as support as a point of contact for suppliers to resolve day-to-day issues and ensure the accurate entry of data into ERP systems in Oracle
  • Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
