The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for analyzing spending patterns, researching market trends, and identifying potential suppliers to optimize procurement costs and ensure the company receives the best quality goods and services at the most competitive price, by leveraging data-driven insights to develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies across various categories of spend within an organization. Strategic Sourcing Analyst Your main responsibilities will be: Conduct in-depth analysis of company spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities, areas of high spend, and potential supplier consolidation opportunities. Research supplier markets to understand industry trends, competitor landscape, and potential new suppliers. Assess and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors like quality, price, delivery time, reliability, and financial stability. Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for specific categories of goods and services, including negotiation tactics and contract terms. Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, including creating specifications, evaluating proposals, and selecting suppliers. Negotiate contract terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and performance metrics. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality control, and ongoing performance improvement. Benchmark supplier prices and contract terms against industry standards to identify opportunities for cost reduction. Utilize data analytics tools to generate insightful reports on sourcing activities, cost savings achieved, and supplier performance metrics. Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing practices. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Market research and analysis capabilities to identify potential suppliers and market trends.
  • Project management skills to manage sourcing initiatives from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of contract law and contract management practices.
  • Experience in managing operations and collaborations across global markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • Technical writing knowledge and/or background and analytical understanding preferred
