About The Position

The SRT Coordinator – Sustainability Focus supports AIS’s strategic initiatives by leading environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and certification programs as a key member of the Strategic Resources Team. This role expands the existing SRT Coordinator function to include sustainability and ESG-related responsibilities that are critical to long-term growth, risk management, and brand credibility. The position is responsible for core elements of AIS’s Environmental Management System (EMS), recycling and waste programs, supplier sustainability reporting, and third-party certifications, while continuing to provide flexible operational, administrative, and cross-functional support as business priorities evolve. Designed to be adaptable, this role plays an important part in enterprise initiatives that span sustainability, compliance, operational excellence, and workplace support.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting sustainability programs, environmental compliance, operational initiatives, or administrative functions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on operational support.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data tracking, reporting, or certification documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and administer AIS’s Environmental Management System (EMS), including documentation, meeting coordination, corrective actions, and continuous improvement tracking.
  • Track, analyze, and report sustainability KPIs related to energy usage, emissions, waste, recycling, packaging, and environmental performance.
  • Manage supplier sustainability data collection and reporting to support compliance, customer requirements, and corporate ESG initiatives.
  • Coordinate and maintain third-party certifications and audits (e.g., BIFMA level®, SCS Indoor Air Advantage), including renewals, documentation, and audit preparation.
  • Monitor evolving environmental regulations and reporting obligations (EPR packaging, PFAS, chemical disclosures, product transparency requirements) and support organizational compliance efforts.
  • Support sustainable packaging initiatives, freight damage reduction, and waste minimization programs.
  • Develop and maintain product environmental documentation (HPDs, EPDs, Declare labels, environmental data sheets).
  • Partner with the VP of Strategic Resources and cross-functional leaders to support enterprise priorities tied to sustainability, operational excellence, compliance, and long-term growth.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects that advance AIS’s business objectives, customer requirements, and brand positioning.
  • Maintain a high level of accountability, organization, and project management, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.
  • Adapt responsibilities as business needs evolve, reinforcing the SRT’s role as a flexible, solutions-oriented resource for the organization.
  • Provide administrative and operational support including document preparation, scheduling assistance, reporting, and coordination for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Support management and maintenance of internal tools, processes, and documentation relevant to Strategic Resources projects.
  • Assist with office operations as needed, including: Office supply management Front desk / reception coverage Conference room setup, breakdown, and meeting support Shared spaces and end-of-day showroom walkthroughs
  • Support executive leadership and internal teams with special requests related to sustainability, compliance, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Manage projects involving multiple internal stakeholders and, when applicable, external vendors, auditors, certification bodies, or sustainability partners.
  • Ensure timely execution, accurate documentation, and clear communication across departments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and reporting related to sustainability, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
