The purpose of the PTN (Pharma Technical Drug Substance Manufacturing Network) Strategy and Performance Team is to guide PTN manufacturing group priorities, advance value delivery through solutions and project management excellence, govern compliance and drive performance to deliver improvement and strengthen the impact of PTN manufacturing group on the wider Roche organization. In this exciting role, you will provide leadership and drive complex programs that deliver high impact benefits for Roche and result in a step change in how we increase throughput, deliver pipeline launches, drive compliance, improve product quality and partner with the business or collaborate with other PT functions. You will operate in a dynamic global environment, leading the Strategic Programs Execution by providing vision, leadership, capability development, prioritization of the initiative pipeline and ensuring successful program delivery. You will lead program management for a portfolio of products generating over $50 billion in annual sales, impact delivery of a network budget of over $2 billion, and manage and execute a CapEx budget of over $400 billion. You will drive and deliver large scale strategic programs by ensuring strong governance, prioritization, and clear trade-off decisions. You will lead the Program Management office (PMO) for PTN DS manufacturing network. This will include all enterprise transformation and change management programs / and their translation for PTN DS manufacturing network. You will coach and guide a matrix team of Programs Managers across sites ensuring the best allocation of your people to ensure flexibility, talent development, and excellence in execution, outcomes delivery, and performance. You will utilize in-depth knowledge and expertise in productivity, optimization and change programs to provide thought leadership, advice, and know-how on relevant capability topics, strategies, and best practices. You will define and shape the vision and priorities of the PTN Strategic Programs Execution team, focusing on delivery of transformative initiatives such as High impact enterprise initiatives (ERP), technology solutions (MES), key Capex initiatives, larger Tech Transfers and Compliance programs. You will drive the delivery and continuous improvement of productivity, operating model and change programs while coaching matrix team members by exemplifying agile behaviors. You will serve as a catalyst, guiding the alignment and co-creation of improvements to strategic programs while developing a well-prioritised portfolio of initiatives. You will act as a role model, demonstrating curiosity, passion, an entrepreneurial spirit, enterprise thinking, inclusive collaboration, and desire for continuous learning.

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in business or life sciences).
  • Extensive 15 years (min) program leadership and/or management experience.
  • In-depth expertise in leadership, transformation, program management and delivery capabilities at a senior enterprise level.
  • Proven success in building, cultivating, and managing large, global, and senior teams.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end manufacturing value chain.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in delivering organisational-level change.
  • Resourceful and action-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and influencing skills.
  • Strong ability for strategic analysis and translating opportunities into concrete execution plans.
  • Experience in major procurement change programs across various categories.
  • Ability to orchestrate multiple complex activities at once in a highly structured way.
