About The Position

The Strategic Procurement Manager at Mosaic Flavors is responsible for sourcing and ordering raw materials, developing procurement strategies, and providing logistical support to various teams. This role involves collaboration with senior leadership and external vendors, as well as working with the Montreal facility to implement best practices. The position is crucial for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of a 2-year College degree or equivalent experience.
• Greater than 5+ years of ingredient, manufacturing, chemical, packaging, and processing purchasing experience.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in flavor/food manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a similar field.
• Experience devising procurement strategies or managing procurement budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline purchasing activities.
• Oversee the MRP process, analyze and forecast inventory requirements to maintain optimal stock levels, issue POs, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Manage supplier relationships, evaluate performance, address issues, and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance to adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, enhancing supplier performance.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop a demand planning model that aligns sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Utilize data analytics to track procurement performance and prepare reports on cost savings and sourcing outcomes.
• Work with Montreal personnel to create SOPs around best practices and leverage combined scale for optimal pricing.
