Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of procurement experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft AX, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in market-based buying strategies.
  • Advanced degree or certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with food manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing and logistics.
  • Tolling and turnkey model experience.
  • Experienced in overseeing teams operating in various locations, including remote and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with company leadership to design and execute strategic sourcing strategies for essential categories such as raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods.
  • Independently and in collaboration with team members, identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
  • Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks to inform procurement leadership of vital decisions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance to support product innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Manage supplier performance for the entire organization through KPIs, scorecards, and regular business reviews.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA), company policies, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for procurement categories.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects related to sustainability, risk management, and supply continuity.
  • Mentor and guide junior procurement staff as needed.
