About the position

As a Pricing Strategist, you will develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with business goals to maximize profitability. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll analyze market data and customer insights to inform pricing decisions. Your expertise in pricing analytics will drive policy development and ensure consistency. You'll also lead cross-functional projects for pricing optimization, including new product launches and partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze pricing data, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategic pricing decisions and maximize profitability.
  • Lead pricing decision-making processes, providing recommendations and insights based on data analysis and market intelligence.
  • Develop pricing guidelines and policies to ensure consistency and alignment with business strategies.
  • Conduct regular pricing reviews and adjustments based on performance metrics, cost analysis, and competitive positioning.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and pricing tools to forecast pricing impacts and evaluate pricing scenarios.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous optimization efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional projects related to pricing optimization, including new product launches and strategic partnerships.
  • Visit customer sites to better understand site conditions and familiarize yourself with Dematic products.
  • Travel to supplier locations to cultivate rapport and foster mutually beneficial relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in pricing analysis or related roles, preferably within aftermarket services, manufacturing, or supply chain environment with high volume transactions.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and MS Excel is required.
  • Experience with pricing tools/software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in pricing management.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
